Here We Go Again!

It's been nearly a month since I shipped my last batch of school books back to their home, and only yesterday that the last of this upcoming semester's school books arrived. How quickly vacation flew by! In a mere two days I will be back in school. I'm actually glad for the spring semester to begin. I've finally had to admit to myself that "Yes, I like school" when I realized how excited I was to order my textbooks. (Of course, that could just be my love of books talking.)

Luckily for me, this upcoming semester should be a great deal easier than last fall. Before I had six classes total (two of which were half-classes that did not start until the halfway point,) and now I have only four (one of which does not begin until March) along with my library/information technology internship. That's right, I will be working on-sight in a library ten hours a week!  I will be learning so much in the upcoming months.

Let the adventure begin!

Sleepy Blog

Hi Everyone,

The fourth week of my school semester is nearly complete. School can be a bit exhausting, even when it's all online. I do miss the classroom sometimes. I would often get a nice pick-me-up from having an enthusiastic teacher lecture about Shakespeare or the French language.

School is temporary. That's what I keep telling myself every time I think I can't go on. It's only for the next three months. Then comes Christmas break followed by the spring semester, which, if all goes as planned, will be easier than this semester and the last one for this Library Information Technology certificate program. I'll be a certified library technician!

Until then, though, I just keep plugging away at school, each assignment turned in bringing me one step closer to a successful ending.

I'm afraid that this blog is going to be rather inactive for the next three months. School comes first, well, maybe school comes second after my personal sanity. So this blog is going to rest for a while, and I bid it sweet dreams.

Big Hero 6 Party!

Dinner consisted of a sushi dinner, courtesy of Briar Patch as our resident sushi maker has been busy being a super student.

  Colorful candles!

Six candles total, one representing each hero.

High-five to anyone who can figure out which color goes with which character.

Super-student sister did have time to whip up some cupcakes to represent Aunt Cass and her cafe.

And they had to be pink. Honey-Lemon wouldn't have it any other way. (By the way, the cupcakes have red jam, pink whipped cream, and half a Maraschino cherry stacked one on top of the other.)

More treats!

It was even better the second time.

Magical Moments from our Disney Trip Part 3

And so we come to our third and final day.

It unfolded in much the same fun and joyous way all our Disney days do.

It also means I took very few pictures and just drank in most of the moments with my own two eyes. But I did document our first visit ever to the Cozy Cone Motel.

For some macaroni and cheese in a bread cone.

One last ride on California Screamin'.

And one last ride on Space Mountain. Rachel and I even requested the front. We had to wait a little longer, but it was so worth it!

And so we come to the end of our adventure, at least the end of this one. I know we will have many more adventures, and live happily ever after.

The End

Magical Moments from our Disney Trip Part 2

We began our second day in California Adventure, with a ride on the trolley (another first for us.)

Then we headed over to Cars Land for breakfast at Flo's V8 Cafe.

Of course we couldn't leave without riding Radiator Springs Racers at least once or twice.

Sunglass selfie in Ramone's House of Body Art!

Mom on California Screamin'! (They went single rider.)

Rachel and Cindy on California Screamin'! (I was the volunteer bag holder.)

Later we went to the Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical Cafe for coffee and cookies. We had learned on the trolley that morning that the cafe was named for the three little pigs: the fiddler, the fifer, and the practical pig. It was Rachel's first fancy coffee.

One of the highlights of the day was all the Frozen Fun!

We didn't actually go into Olaf's Snow Fest.

But we did spend some time at the Dance Party!

As the grand finale to our second day, we went and sang along with the Frozen Sing-Along.  (Can you see the photo bomber?)

What was once Muppet Vision 3-D, has been completely redone as the Arendelle Theatre.

End of day two.
